Signal Trade App vs TradeSea: A Platform and a Copier, Not Two Copiers

TradeSea and Signal Trade App both let you place a trade once and have it appear on several futures accounts. They get there from opposite directions, and that is the whole comparison in one sentence.

TradeSea is a trading workspace. You log into it with your Rithmic credentials, trade from TradingView-powered charts, a DOM and bracket tools, journal in a built-in analytics tool called Compass, and use its copy feature, SecureCopy, as one part of that workspace. Signal Trade App is the reverse: a copier and control layer that sits on top of whichever platform you already trade in — Rithmic, Tradovate or NinjaTrader — and mirrors a leader account to your followers, including followers on a different broker from the leader.

So the honest question is not "which copier is better". It is "do I want to trade inside a new platform that happens to copy, or keep my platform and add a copier". Everything below is organised around that.

All TradeSea facts below were read from TradeSea’s own site and help center, plus independent reviews, on 2026-09-24. Where a fact only comes from a third party, or where sources disagree, we say so. Anything we could not confirm without an account is marked as unconfirmed rather than guessed.

What TradeSea Is

TradeSea describes itself as "ultra-fast tech, deep analytics, AI edge, all under one roof". In practice it is four things bundled together:

It is not a broker. Its help center is explicit that you connect it with a Rithmic username, password and environment (simulation or live), and that it then handles order execution, live market data and balance and risk updates over that Rithmic connection. It is web-based with mobile apps; TradeSea’s Station page also lists desktop, while one review we read dated it as "coming soon", so check the current state before you plan around a desktop client.

The important structural fact: TradeSea is distributed through partner prop firms. Its help center says "if you do not see your prop firm in the list, it may not be supported yet". Reviewers list between four live partner firms (BluSky, FundedSeat, Lucid Trading and Tradeify) and nine (adding Halcyon Trader Funding, EdgeProp, Onyx, Tradentry and YRM Prop), depending on when the review was written. We could not find a public price list on TradeSea’s own site.

What Signal Trade App Is

Signal Trade App is a cloud trade copier and futures control layer. You connect your existing broker or prop firm accounts, mark one as the leader, and the rest follow with per-follower sizing and risk limits. Followers can be on a different broker from the leader, and the same subscription includes a TradingView webhook endpoint, a public REST API and automatic trade journaling.

It does not replace your trading platform. You keep placing orders in NinjaTrader, Tradovate, a Rithmic front end or wherever you already trade; Signal Trade App is what carries those orders to your other accounts.

TradeSea SecureCopy vs Signal Trade App Copying

This is the section where TradeSea’s documentation is genuinely useful, because it publishes hard limits. SecureCopy’s help page states three of them plainly.

Signal Trade AppTradeSea SecureCopy (help center, 2026-09-24)
Copy groupsNot metered by account count3 copy groups per trader
FollowersNot metered by account count10 followers per group
Size multiplierPer-follower ratio3x maximum multiplier on each follower
Runs whereCloudTradeSea’s servers — copying continues if the follower tab is closed
Leader actions copiedOrders, fills, brackets and exitsFills with TP and SL; flatten, exit and cancel also replicate
Sync-back on a missFollower state tracked against the leaderCopy Protection re-syncs within a chosen 250, 500 or 1000 ms window
Cross-broker followersYes — mix Rithmic, Tradovate and NinjaTrader accounts in one groupNot documented — the help page describes copying inside TradeSea
Side effect of setupNone documentedClears any PDLL / PDPT and Position Risk Bracket settings on the followers

Three groups of ten followers is a ceiling of 30 follower accounts, and for most traders that is plenty. It stops being plenty for someone running dozens of funded accounts, or someone who wants more than three independent leader setups. Our side has no per-group cap that we publish, and pricing does not scale with account count.

The last row deserves attention. TradeSea’s own documentation says that setting up SecureCopy clears the PDLL / PDPT and Position Risk Bracket settings on your followers. That is a sensible thing for a copier to do to avoid conflicting risk rules, but it means you should re-check your protective settings on every follower after you configure a group rather than assuming they carried over.

What the SecureCopy page does not say is whether a follower can be on a different platform from the leader. It describes replication between accounts inside TradeSea. If your leader is a Rithmic account in TradeSea and your followers include Tradovate or NinjaTrader accounts, that is not something their help page documents, so confirm it with them before you rely on it. Cross-broker groups are the core of Signal Trade App’s design, not an extra.

TradeSea Supported Prop Firms and Brokers

If your funded accounts are at Lucid, Tradeify, BluSky or FundedSeat, TradeSea is reachable and, according to a review we read, the copy feature may be included through Lucid rather than billed separately. If your accounts are at a firm that issues Tradovate or NinjaTrader logins, TradeSea’s documented connection model does not cover you, and a broker-agnostic copier does.

TradeSea Pricing vs Signal Trade App

Pricing is where the two products are hardest to compare cleanly, because TradeSea does not publish a standalone price list that we could find.

Signal Trade AppTradeSea
Entry price$30 first month, then $15/moNo public price list found on tradesea.ai
Copy featureIncludedReported as normally a $15/mo add-on, included free through a Lucid account
AccountsNot metered3 groups of 10 followers
Self-hostedYes, $599 one-timeNot offered
Trial5-day trial, card requiredNot stated publicly

The $15/month add-on figure and the "free through Lucid" arrangement come from a third-party article rather than from TradeSea’s own pages, and that source adds that the free copy access disappears if you close the Lucid account. Treat it as a good lead, not a quote, and confirm it before you budget around it.

The practical read: if your prop firm bundles TradeSea in, its copier can effectively be free for you. If you are choosing a copier on the open market, a flat $15/month for any number of accounts is a simple number to compare against. Our own trial is 5 days and requires a card; there is no free plan.

Charts, Order Entry and the Trading Experience

This is where TradeSea is the stronger product, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. TradeSea is built as a place to trade: TradingView-powered charts, drag-to-adjust brackets on the chart, a DOM showing the live order book, hot keys, a scalp pad and configurable workspaces, on Rithmic execution.

Signal Trade App also has a trading cockpit with charts, but we position it as the control layer over accounts you already trade elsewhere. If you are unhappy with your current trading front end and want a new one, TradeSea is a legitimate answer to that question and we are not. If you are happy with your front end and just need it copied, adding a platform is extra surface area you do not need.

One caveat from an independent review: TradeSea was described as a newer platform with occasional rough edges, and with fewer depth-of-market tools than heavy order-flow platforms. That is a fair trade for a new product, but it is worth a paper-trading week before you move a live account onto it.

TradeSea Compass Journal and AI vs Signal Trade App

TradeSea’s Compass is a real strength. It reports net P&L, win rate, average win and loss, drawdown, profit factor, a Compass Score, calendar views, tagging and execution-level chart replays, and it can import trades from CSV and screenshots. Polaris adds AI feedback on trades and sessions.

Signal Trade App journals automatically across all connected accounts, with win rate, P&L and Sharpe ratio analytics. It does not ship an AI coach. If AI trade review is a deciding factor for you, that is a point in TradeSea’s favour and it is worth trying.

Automation: Webhooks and API

We could not find webhook or public API documentation in TradeSea’s help center collections, which cover Station, Compass, the mobile app, Polaris and pSpark. That is an absence from the pages we read on 2026-09-24, not a claim that the feature does not exist.

Signal Trade App exposes a per-token TradingView webhook endpoint, and a REST API with scoped keys for reading accounts, positions and orders and, with a trade scope, placing orders, attaching protection and flattening accounts. If you run strategies from TradingView or your own code, that is a concrete difference. You can also use a webhook to drive a leader account and have every follower copy it.

Can You Use Both?

Sometimes, and it is worth saying because it is the answer many traders actually want. TradeSea and a copier are not mutually exclusive in principle: TradeSea is a front end, and a copier is a mirroring layer. Whether a given prop firm and Rithmic setup allows a second connection on the same credentials is a rule of that firm and of Rithmic rather than of either product, so check with your firm before you connect the same login in two places.

If you do run into that limit, the choice becomes simple: pick TradeSea if you want its workspace, journal and AI in one place, and pick Signal Trade App if you want to keep your current platform and copy across brokers.

Which One Should You Use

TradeSea is a well-built product and is not a like-for-like competitor. We would rather you choose the one whose job matches yours than the one with the longer feature list. If you want to test copying against your own accounts, start a trial, or read the best TradeSea alternatives for the wider field.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is TradeSea?

TradeSea is a futures trading platform that runs on Rithmic. It bundles a TradingView-powered trading workspace called Station, a built-in copy feature called SecureCopy, a journal called Compass and AI features called Polaris and pSpark. It is not a broker, and it is offered through partner prop firms.

What is TradeSea SecureCopy?

SecureCopy is the copy trading feature built into TradeSea Station. A leader account’s fills, take-profit and stop-loss orders, flattens and cancels are replicated to follower accounts from TradeSea’s servers, within documented limits of 3 copy groups, 10 followers per group and a 3x maximum multiplier.

Is TradeSea a trade copier?

It has one, but it is a trading platform first. SecureCopy is one feature inside Station. Signal Trade App is a dedicated copier that works on top of the platform you already use, including across different brokers.

How many accounts can TradeSea copy to?

TradeSea’s SecureCopy help page states 3 copy groups per trader, 10 followers per group and a 3x maximum multiplier on each follower, so up to 30 followers across three groups, as of 2026-09-24. Signal Trade App does not meter accounts.

Does TradeSea copy to Tradovate or NinjaTrader accounts?

Its help center does not document it. The SecureCopy page describes replicating a leader to followers inside TradeSea, and the account connection page documents Rithmic credentials only. Confirm with TradeSea before relying on cross-platform copying. Signal Trade App copies between Rithmic, Tradovate and NinjaTrader accounts in one group.

How much does TradeSea cost?

We could not find a public price list on TradeSea’s own site. One independent article reports the copy feature as normally a $15/month add-on and free with a Lucid account for as long as that account stays open. Verify it directly. Signal Trade App is $30 for the first month then $15/month for unlimited accounts.

Which prop firms support TradeSea?

Reviews list Lucid Trading, Tradeify, BluSky and FundedSeat as live, and some list Halcyon Trader Funding, EdgeProp, Onyx, Tradentry and YRM Prop as well. TradeSea’s own help center says a firm not in its list may not be supported yet, so check the current list.

Do I need a Rithmic account to use TradeSea?

Yes. You connect it with your Rithmic username, password and a simulation or live environment. Signal Trade App connects to Rithmic and also to Tradovate, including accounts you trade in NinjaTrader.

Does SecureCopy keep copying if I close the browser?

According to TradeSea’s help page, yes. It runs on TradeSea’s servers, so copying continues when the follower tab is closed. Signal Trade App is also cloud-based and copies without your desktop running.

Does setting up SecureCopy change my follower risk settings?

Yes. TradeSea’s documentation says setup clears any PDLL / PDPT and Position Risk Bracket settings on the followers, so re-check your protective settings on each follower after creating a group.

Does TradeSea have a journal or AI?

Yes. Compass is its journal and analytics tool with a 0–100 score, and Polaris and pSpark are its AI features, which reviews describe as beta. Signal Trade App journals automatically across accounts but does not include an AI coach.

Does TradeSea support TradingView webhooks or an API?

We could not find webhook or public API documentation in its help center as of 2026-09-24. That is an absence from the pages we read, not proof it does not exist. Signal Trade App has a per-token webhook endpoint and a scoped REST API.

Can I use TradeSea and Signal Trade App together?

It depends on your prop firm and Rithmic, which may limit connections per login. Ask your firm before connecting the same credentials in two places.

Does Signal Trade App have a free plan?

No. There is a 5-day trial and it requires a card. After that it is $30 for the first month, then $15/month, or a $599 one-time self-hosted licence.
