Inverse FVG at Key Levels Scanner
An inverse FVG retest is more interesting to many traders when it happens at a level the market already respects: the previous day high or low, the Asia, London or New York session high or low, the previous 1 hour or 4 hour extreme, or the latest swing on the chart. This scanner watches for exactly that overlap on NQ, ES, YM, RTY, MNQ, MES, MYM, M2K, GC, MGC, SI, CL, MCL, NG, 6E and 6J, on the 1, 3, 5, 15 minute, 1 hour and 4 hour charts.
It builds on the inverse FVG scanner. The IFVG rules are unchanged; this alert only fires when the retested zone has one of those levels inside it or very close to it, and the alert names the level.
Which levels count
The scanner checks the inverse FVG against these levels, using the last completed one of each as of the retest candle:
- Previous day high and low (the CME trading day, 18:00 to 18:00 New York time).
- Previous New York session high and low (09:30 to 16:00 New York time).
- Previous London session high and low (03:00 to 09:30 New York time).
- Previous Asia session high and low (19:00 to 03:00 New York time).
- Previous 1 hour and 4 hour high and low.
- The most recent confirmed swing high and swing low on the chart you are watching.
What "near" means
A level is near when it sits inside the inverse FVG, or within a quarter of the recent average candle size beyond either edge. Measuring in candle sizes rather than points means the same rule fits NQ, gold and the euro, and it scales with each timeframe.
If several levels qualify, the closest one is named, and a tie goes to the more important level, with the previous day ahead of the sessions, the New York, London and Asia sessions in that order, and the sessions ahead of the 4 hour and 1 hour. The alert says whether the level is inside the zone or how far from it.
What you get in the alert
The public feed shows a line such as "NQ 5m · Bearish Inverse FVG at a key level: retested beside Previous day high". An alert sent to your email or Discord adds the zone, the level's price and its distance from the zone.
A key level next to an IFVG is one more thing to weigh, not a signal. Price can run straight through both. The scanner reports where they overlap and leaves the decision to you.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the IFVG scanner?
The IFVG scanner alerts on every first retest of an inverse FVG. This one alerts only when that retest happens beside a previous high or low or a recent swing, and it names the level.
Does it cover the previous day high and low (PDH and PDL)?
Yes. The previous trading day high and low are among the levels checked, along with the Asia, London and New York sessions, the previous 1 hour and 4 hour, and recent swings.
Which timeframes does it run on?
The 1, 3, 5, 15 minute, 1 hour and 4 hour charts, on 16 futures markets.
Will I get both this alert and the plain IFVG alert?
Only if you select both types. They are separate alert types.
Does the scanner say which way price will go?
No. It reports an overlap between two levels. Alerts are informational, not trading advice.
